Remembrance Day Observance

Canada is the best country in the world to live in. Our citizens are blessed with freedom, opportunity and a standard of living that is unrivalled in today’s world, and without parallel in history. As Canadians, we express pride in our ancestors for building such a great nation and in themselves for preserving it. However, this did not occur by chance; it is a result of tireless effort and sacrifice in the past and present.

Our school has the responsibility to enrich students' early experiences so that each child in our country may develop a real understanding and appreciation for Remembrance Day and can learn about our history and have an understanding of the sacrifices that many Canadians made to preserve and protect the way of life that we now embrace.

If you wish, please send a donation to the school in support of The Royal Canadian Legion.  Every child will receive a poppy lapel pin or sticker for our Remembrance Day Assembly on November 10th.

Thank You

Our annual Fall Fest fundraiser was a huge success, raising over $4500 for program enhancements, such as laptops, projectors, athletics, online resources, and many other items. The fundraiser concluded with an action packed and fun filled play day facilitated by Earth Day Canada as an adjunct to our Outdoor Play and Learning initiative.

A huge thank you to all families who donated to our fundraiser. Thank you to the members of School Council who gave up their time and energy over the last few weeks to orchestrate the fundraiser. Finally, a big thanks to the staff and school council members who donated the raffle prizes for the event.

We will announce the final amount raised once the last of the donations have been accounted for. It’s not too late to donate through SchoolCashOnline if you missed the chance earlier this month.

Thank you for making James Robinson a great place to learn and grow!
